LVBP teams finalize foreign player rosters for 2026-2027 season

Teams in the Venezuelan Professional Baseball League (LVBP) are currently finalizing their rosters of foreign players ahead of the 2026-2027 preseason. While the regulatory framework allows for the hiring of international reinforcements to strengthen rosters, many clubs are still in the process of officializing their lineups.

As of now, only three teams have publicly announced their full quota of foreign players. The Navegantes del Magallanes have secured a group of pitchers including Jesús Reyes, Alex Tovalín, Reid Birlingmair, Nick Trogrlic-Iverson, Drew Parrish, and Víctor Vargas. Caribes de Anzoátegui has retained José Ramón Rodríguez, Francis Peguero, and Bryan Cáceres. Additionally, the Tigres de Aragua are reportedly moving toward signing American first baseman Mason Martin.

Other major clubs, such as Tiburones de La Guaira and Leones del Caracas, are currently maintaining confidentiality or are in the middle of negotiations. Rumors have linked Tiburones de La Guaira to pitchers Luis Patiño and Caleb Smith.
