Boi Garantido announces new female leads for 2027 Parintins Festival

Boi-Bumbá Garantido has announced new female representatives for the 2027 Parintins Folklore Festival. Lívia Christina will take over the role of Cunhã-Poranga (Item 9), succeeding Isabelle Nogueira, who concluded her nine-year tenure in the position.

Lívia Christina, who gained national recognition through her appearance on the reality show BBB 26, has a long history with the group, having previously served as Porta-Estandarte and Rainha do Folclore. Her new role involves representing the indigenous warrior of the Amazon in the Bumbódromo arena.

Isabelle Alcântara has been named the new Rainha do Folclore (Item 6), a position previously held by Lívia Christina. Alcântara, a nursing student from the Baixa do Xanda community, has experience performing in various regional festivals and was previously the Cunhã-Poranga for Boi Tira Prosa in Pará. The appointments are seen as a way to promote local talent developed within the Garantido association.
