Lívia Konrad wins javelin gold, qualifies for Jogos da Juventude

Lívia Cavalcante Konrad, an athlete from Venâncio Aires, secured a gold medal in javelin throw at the Rio Grande do Sul Student Championship (CERGS) held in Porto Alegre. Her winning throw of 32.67 meters set a new personal best.

As a result of her performance, Konrad has been officially called up to represent the state of Rio Grande do Sul in the Jogos da Juventude. Organized by the Brazilian Olympic Committee (COB), the competition is scheduled to take place in Foz do Iguaçu, Paraná, between October 19 and November 3, 2026. She will be the sole representative from her state in the javelin throw discipline.
