LVMH to open 43 French production sites for special event
LVMH is opening 43 of its production sites in France and 71 sites globally for its sixth ‘Journées particulières’. The three-day event allows visitors to see the craftsmanship and workers behind the luxury group's brands, such as Vuitton, Dior, Kenzo, and Chaumet.
Antoine Arnault noted that while the group remains healthy, the luxury sector faces challenges including a sluggish national economy, high levels of counterfeiting, recruitment difficulties, and intense Chinese competition. Despite these pressures and a decline in the Asian market, the company continues to invest in France, where two-thirds of its operations are located in various regions. LVMH currently employs 40,000 people directly and pays approximately 2.6 billion euros in corporate taxes, nearly half of which is paid in France.
