LVR approves 6.8 million euros for Rhineland cultural projects
The Cultural Committee of the Landschaftsverband Rheinland (LVR) has approved funding for 115 cultural projects across the Rhineland for the upcoming year. The total allocation for these initiatives is approximately 6.8 million euros.
In the Viersen district, three projects will receive a combined 125,000 euros. These include the transformation of the St. Annenhof chapel into a cultural space, the reconstruction of a Renaissance organ for the Kempener Orgelkonzerte e. V., and the inclusive amateur theater festival ‘Huckepack 2027’ organized by PHG Viersen gGmbH.
Düsseldorf will receive nearly 280,000 euros to support six cultural and educational institutions. Notable projects include the ‘Lost Together’ barrier-free video art archive by the IMAI Foundation, the ‘125 Years Die Große’ anniversary exhibition, and a research project by the Heinrich Heine University Düsseldorf regarding the literary history of the Bonn Republic.
