Lvxing Base offers disaster simulation tourism in Hangzhou

Lvxing Base, a disaster simulation center located in Hangzhou, Zhejiang Province, is attracting young tourists with unique experiences that mimic natural disasters. Visitors pay to encounter simulated storms, heavy rain, flash floods, and urban flooding in specially designed environments.

Adult tickets are priced at approximately 899 yuan, while family packages costing nearly 5,000 yuan include additional activities such as wilderness survival training and water rescue. Some one-day training courses have been reported at 1,599 yuan.

The simulations are noted for their high level of realism. The storm simulation area can generate wind speeds of up to 165 km/h. Additionally, the facility uses massive amounts of water to recreate disasters, including up to 900 tons for mountain flash flood simulations and 400 tons for urban flooding scenarios, where water levels can reach waist height.
