LX Pantos completes defense logistics project for air-to-air missiles

LX Pantos has successfully completed a high-difficulty defense logistics project to transport air-to-air missiles from France to the Republic of Korea. Commissioned by Korea Aerospace Industries (KAI), the project involved delivering specialized weaponry required for the Marine Corps' domestic landing attack helicopter (MAH) system development program.

The cargo, classified as explosive hazard Class 1.2E, was transported via a dedicated LX Pantos charter flight from Chartres Airport in France to Incheon International Airport. To ensure maximum security and safety, the missiles were the sole cargo on the aircraft. Following arrival in Korea, the shipment was moved via land transport to its final destination at a Marine Corps unit in Pohang.

The operation required securing airspace transit approvals from 14 different countries across Europe, the Middle East, and Asia. LX Pantos noted that the project adhered to International Air Transport Association (IATA) dangerous goods regulations and various national aviation safety standards. The company aims to expand its role as a logistics partner for the growing global defense market.
