LX Pantos completes defense logistics project for advanced missiles

LX Pantos has completed a complex cross-border defense logistics project involving the transport of advanced air-to-air missiles (AAM) from France to South Korea. The operation was conducted on behalf of Korea Aerospace Industries (KAI) to support the Republic of Korea Marine Corps’ Marine Attack Helicopter (MAH) program, which is led by the Defense Acquisition Program Administration (DAPA).

The shipment originated from Châteauroux Airport in France and was transported via a dedicated charter flight arranged by LX Pantos to Incheon International Airport. To ensure maximum security, the missiles were the sole cargo on the aircraft. Following arrival in South Korea, the munitions were transported by road to a Marine Corps unit in Pohang.

Due to the classification of the missiles as Class 1 explosives, the project required specialized handling in compliance with International Air Transport Association (IATA) Dangerous Goods Regulations. The logistics operation involved securing overflight clearances from 14 different countries across Europe, the Middle East, and Asia.
