Lycopodium Wins A$93 Million EPCM Contract for Blackwater Mine Expansion in Canada
Lycopodium Limited (ASX: LYL) has been awarded an Engineering, Procurement and Construction Management (EPCM) contract worth about A$93 million to expand Artemis Gold’s Blackwater Mine in central British Columbia, Canada. The open‑pit gold and silver operation began commercial production in May 2025 and the Phase 2 expansion will add 13 Mtpa of throughput, bringing total capacity to 21 Mtpa and placing the mine among Canada’s three largest gold producers.
Lycopodium, which previously delivered EPCM services for Phase 1A and performed feasibility and front‑end engineering for the new plant, is already undertaking early works, including earthworks and the first concrete pour for the ball‑mill foundations. Managing Director and CEO Peter De Leo said the project is “particularly meaningful, given it represents a material domestic project to be delivered by our Canadian‑based business.”
