Lydia Bosch Hospitalized with Knee Tendinitis Ahead of Mérida Play Premiere

Spanish actress Lydia Bosch, 62, was hospitalized after suffering a knee tendinitis during rehearsals for her new stage production "Fedra, en los infiernos". She posted a photo from a wheelchair on social media, joking that she was "rehearsing Fedra or rolling a Gladiator scene" and emphasized that humor helps her cope.

Despite the injury, Bosch confirmed she will still perform when the play opens from 12 to 16 August at the Roman Theatre in Mérida, part of the Festival de Mérida. She also shared personal news: her daughter Andrea Molina is pregnant with her first child, meaning Bosch is about to become a grandmother.

Bosch reassured fans and colleagues that the tendinitis will not dim the excitement surrounding the production, which marks her return to the stage after nearly four decades.
