Lydia Bosch returns to theatre after nearly 40 years
Actress Lydia Bosch is returning to the stage after nearly four decades focused on film, television, and hosting. She stars in ‘Fedra, en los infiernos’, a contemporary revision of the classical myth written and directed by José María del Castillo.
The production premiered on August 12 at the Teatro Romano de Mérida as part of the International Classical Theatre Festival. It is also scheduled to perform at the Auditorio Parque Almansa during the International Festival of Theatre, Music, and Dance of San Javier.
Bosch has described the character of Fedra as a ‘female version of Hamlet,’ noting that the role offers a vast emotional range. She expressed that the opportunity to perform in the ancient Roman theatre in Mérida was a significant professional milestone.
