Lydia Hernandez accuses Kris Mayes campaign treasurer of harassment

Arizona State Representative Lydia Hernandez has accused DJ Quinlan, a political consultant identified as the campaign treasurer for Attorney General Kris Mayes, of harassment. Hernandez released screenshots of a text exchange on her personal cellphone in which the sender criticized her for endorsing Republican Warren Petersen for the office of attorney general.

The messages included insults such as “Gross. Selfish politician” and a statement from the sender claiming the contact was intended “To shame you.” Hernandez stated she has no personal or professional relationship with Quinlan and characterized the interaction as an attempt to pressure or intimidate her over a political decision.

Republican Warren Petersen has called on Attorney General Mayes to condemn the behavior and remove Quinlan from his position, describing the incident as unprofessional.
