Lymphoma Coalition launches international awareness campaign

The Lymphoma Coalition is spearheading the international campaign ‘Facing Lymphoma Together’ to coincide with World Lymphoma Awareness Day on September 15. The initiative aims to increase global knowledge regarding a disease that affects over one million people and results in approximately 360,000 new diagnoses annually.

The 2026 campaign focuses on highlighting the various challenges patients face from the initial diagnosis through treatment, remission, and survival. A central theme of the campaign is the importance of emotional support and access to reliable information, emphasizing that the psychological impact of the disease is as critical as medical intervention.

In Argentina, the Asociación Civil Linfomas Argentina (ACLA) is advocating for the integration of emotional care into standard disease management. Haydee González, president of ACLA, stated that a diagnosis triggers a complex emotional situation and emphasized that no one should have to navigate the process alone.
