San Martino Church showcases historical frescoes in Valmadrera
A new documentary episode explores the historical and cultural significance of the San Martino Church in Valmadrera. Produced as part of the ‘Minidoc Lecco’ series by journalist Dario Angelibusi, the video highlights the sanctuary as one of the oldest churches in the area.
The church features religious frescoes dating from the 15th and 16th centuries, including depictions of San Martino, the Madonna, the Crucifix, Saint Peter Martyr, and Saint Anthony. The documentary also showcases a painting of the Madonna del latte, which has been a central object of devotion for the Valmadrera community for centuries. The production utilizes drone footage to capture views of the church and the Via Crucis.
