Lyndon Oliver receives St. Vincent and the Grenadines Public Choice Award
Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) Lyndon Oliver has been honored with the Public Choice Award, having been selected by the public as the most outstanding police officer in St. Vincent and the Grenadines.
The award was presented at Police Headquarters following a public appeal by journalist and youth ambassador Kenville Horne. Horne invited citizens to identify their favorite or best police officer, whether active or retired, to highlight those who serve with integrity and professionalism.
Members of the public cited Oliver’s professionalism, fairness, and respect for others as key reasons for his selection. He was specifically noted for his willingness to go beyond his official duties to assist others, particularly young people. Horne remarked that while police officers often receive attention during controversies, the contributions of those who perform their duties quietly and professionally deserve recognition.
