Lynette Howell Taylor Re‑elected President of Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences
Lynette Howell Taylor has been re‑elected for a second one‑year term as president of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences (AMPAS). The Board of Governors also confirmed the 2026‑27 officer slate: Lesley Barber as vice president and chair of the Membership Committee, Jennifer Fox as vice president and chair of the Awards Committee, Lou Diamond Phillips as vice president and chair of the Equity and Inclusion Committee, Howard A. Rodman as vice president, secretary and chair of the Governance Committee, and David Dinerstein as vice president and treasurer, chair of the Finance Committee. Under AMPAS rules a president may serve up to four consecutive one‑year terms. Taylor, a member of the Producers Branch since 2014, has produced more than 25 films, notably “A Star Is Born,” “The Accountant,” and “Blue Valentine.” She also co‑produced the 92nd Academy Awards ceremony in 2020, work that earned her an Emmy nomination. Academy CEO Bill Kramer thanked the leadership team and said the organization is moving toward its centennial celebration.
