Lynk & Co 02 electric SUV set for Vietnam launch in August

Swedish automaker Lynk & Co will introduce its first fully electric model, the Lynk & Co 02, to the Vietnamese market in August, expanding a three‑year presence that began with gasoline and mild‑hybrid models. The 02 is positioned as a premium‑sport e‑SUV for urban drivers, featuring a modern design language developed in Gothenburg and showcased at Milan’s Spazio Antologico. Exterior highlights include Dynamic Day Rays LED lighting and the MegaCity Horizon rear light strip, while the vehicle’s proportions follow the golden ratio. It rides on the Sustainable Experience Architecture (SEA) platform – a $2.65 billion investment involving over 2,000 engineers and already used on more than 18 models from Volvo, Polestar, Zeekr and others. The SUV passed the Moose Test at 81.7 km/h and offers a spacious 4.03 m² cabin with ergonomic Comfort seats. The launch follows the model’s global debut in Europe and aims to strengthen Lynk & Co’s “New Premium” positioning in Vietnam’s growing electric‑vehicle market.
