LYNX Investor Report shows cautious market sentiment

The LYNX Q3 2026 Investor Report reveals a cautious sentiment among international investors despite record stock market highs. Many investors are maintaining significant cash positions to prepare for potential market corrections.

Key findings indicate that approximately 39 percent of respondents expect the global stock market to move sideways over the next six months. Regarding US interest rates, two-thirds of those surveyed anticipate an increase. Geopolitical tensions remain the primary concern, cited by nearly 79 percent of participants as one of the top three risks to financial markets. Other significant concerns include US political uncertainty and high inflation, each cited by 43 percent of respondents.

Investors appear to be positioning themselves for volatility rather than panicking. More than half of the respondents hold at least 10 percent of their portfolios in cash. In the event of a market drop exceeding 20 percent, 59 percent of investors intend to selectively buy more assets, while only 1 percent would choose to liquidate their portfolios.
