Lyon to host 22nd World Banners Festival

The 22nd edition of the World Banners Festival is scheduled to take place in Lyon on Saturday, September 19, 2026. Held in the 6th arrondissement, the free event celebrates the diverse cultures within the Lyon metropolitan area.

Activities will center around Place Maréchal-Lyautey, featuring a village of colorful tents where visitors can explore traditional crafts, clothing, music, and gastronomy from nearly 35 different countries. A major parade is set to begin at 2:30 PM, starting from the corner of Cours Franklin-Roosevelt and Rue Garibaldi, showcasing traditional costumes and musical performances.
