Lyte raises $165 million for Physical AI robotics perception
Lyte, a Sunnyvale-based startup specializing in ‘Physical AI’, has raised $165 million in a Series C funding round, bringing its post-money valuation to $1.6 billion. The financing was led by Maverick Silicon and included participation from existing investors such as Fidelity Management And Research Co., Atreides Management, Key1 Capital, and Ora Global.
Founded in 2021 by former Apple engineers Alexander Shpunt, Arman Hajati, and Yuval Gerson, the company develops advanced sensing and perception technologies for robots. Their suite of tools includes custom silicon, 4D sensing, RGB, motion awareness, and AI software designed to provide robots with a real-time understanding of geometry and movement.
Lyte’s technology aims to move beyond traditional computer vision by providing the precise environmental awareness necessary for robots to act reliably in complex settings. The company’s primary target markets are the warehousing and manufacturing industries.
