M League prepares for 2026-27 season with new sponsors and events

Preparations are underway for the M League 2026-27 professional mahjong season. The league has announced a public viewing event and opening ceremony to be held at Bellesal Shiodome on September 14, 2026. The event will feature matches involving EARTH JETS, KONAMI Mahjong Fight Club, Shibuya ABEMAS, and U-NEXT Pirates.

Team sponsors are also being finalized. U-NEXT Pirates has secured 13 sponsors for the upcoming season, including a new partnership with SBR and renewals with 12 existing companies such as Uniquest and GENDA GiGO Entertainment.

Additionally, KONAMI Mahjong Fight Club has unveiled its new uniform design and announced two new sponsors: Saga Tobuse Seika and Y-Pro. The team aims for its first championship this season.
