M. Madhushani Dissanayaka arrested in Sri Lanka drug bust
Sri Lankan police arrested 28‑year‑old M. Madhushani Dissanayaka in the Ambare region after a joint operation by the regional anti‑corruption unit and Inginiyagala police. The raid seized 10 g of crystal methamphetamine (known locally as “Ice”) and 10 g of heroin from the suspect.
Investigators say Dissanayaka had been transporting the narcotics from Colombo to Ambare for distribution. Her husband is also under investigation for involvement in the same trafficking network. She has been transferred to Inginiyagala police station for further questioning and legal proceedings.
