M. Nageshwar Rao elected President of Sarvajana Sanatan Party

Former CBI Director M. Nageshwar Rao has entered active politics, announcing his role as the National President of the Sarvajana Sanatan Party (SSP). Making the announcement from Varanasi, Rao cited his four decades of experience in security, law, and administration as the basis for his decision.

Rao stated that India’s reconstruction requires more than administrative reform, arguing for a model of modern development that remains connected to the nation’s civilizational roots. The SSP defines ‘Sanatan’ not merely as a religious practice, but as a way of life encompassing truth, dharma, duty, compassion, and public welfare.

The party’s platform is built upon four primary pillars: education that integrates Indian knowledge traditions with global standards; healthcare that combines modern medicine with Indian traditions; livelihood opportunities for youth, farmers, and small businesses; and civilizational reconnection through the preservation of cultural institutions, languages, and pilgrimage sites.
