M. S. V. ’71 announces new sports complex terrace upgrades

The sports association M. S. V. ’71 is proceeding with the next phase of its facility upgrades by constructing new terraces for its canteen and locker rooms. This project follows previous renovations to the locker rooms in 2018 and 2021, as well as a canteen upgrade in 2024.

Managed by board member Hans Frerichs, the project involves designer Erik de Gier and landscaper René den Boer. The new terraces will feature sustainable materials, including new furniture such as high tables, stools, picnic tables, and lounge sofas, along with wooden pole partitions. Work is scheduled to begin by September 1, with an official opening planned for September 19 during the club's first competitive match against DVO’32. The investment was supported by the Stichting Vrienden van M. S. V. ’71, as well as local fundraising initiatives.
