M1 to Raymond Terrace extension hosts community preview walk

Local residents in the Hunter region participated in a community walk along a 3.5-kilometre stretch of the nearly completed M1 to Raymond Terrace extension. The event allowed the public to access the new infrastructure, including the recently finished viaduct spanning the Hunter River.

Community members expressed optimism that the project will alleviate significant traffic bottlenecks and reduce peak-hour congestion in areas such as Thornton and Beresfield. Residents noted that the extension is expected to shorten daily commutes and ease heavy seasonal traffic in the Port Stephens area.
