M31 Technology and Rambus Inc. collaborate on MIPI subsystem solutions

M31 Technology has announced a technology collaboration with Rambus Inc. to enhance its MIPI subsystem solutions. The partnership integrates Rambus’s MIPI CSI (Camera Serial Interface) and MIPI DSI (Display Serial Interface) controller technologies with M31’s existing MIPI PHY portfolio.

This integrated approach aims to provide a comprehensive solution for high-resolution imaging and display applications. By offering a complete subsystem, M31 intends to help customers reduce the verification and development risks often associated with multi-vendor integration, thereby accelerating time-to-market for products in sectors such as smartphones, automotive ADAS cameras, multi-display cockpit systems, and AI edge devices.

The move comes as the global interface IP market is projected to reach approximately US$5.4 billion by 2029. M31 CEO Scott Chang noted that the collaboration allows customers to entrust complete MIPI interface designs to M31, addressing the rising demand for higher resolution and multi-display designs in intelligent cockpits and mobile devices.
