M6 expands rescue programming with new hotel series
The French television channel M6 is expanding its reality programming focused on business rescue. Following the success of the culinary rescue show ‘Cauchemar en cuisine’ (Kitchen Nightmares), hosted by Philippe Etchebest, the network has announced a new series titled ‘Alerte à l'hôtel: 30 jours pour tout relancer’.
Set to premiere on October 15, the new program is an adaptation of the British format ‘The Hotel Inspector’. The show will feature experts Fred Sirieix and hotel director Pauline Petta, who will attempt to save struggling hotels within a thirty-day period by analyzing everything from customer service to financial accounts.
In related programming, recent episodes of ‘Cauchemar en cuisine’ have highlighted the intense pressures faced by restaurateurs. One notable episode featured chef Philippe Etchebest abruptly halting service at an establishment run by a couple, Aline and Luc, due to severe operational failures, including long wait times and excessive food waste.
