Romania infrastructure: M7 metro study and regional development projects

Several infrastructure and municipal development projects are progressing across various Romanian cities. In the Bucharest-Ilfov region, the Sector 5 City Hall has signed a contract for the feasibility study of the M7 metro line. This 26-kilometer project, a partnership between local and central authorities including Metrorex S.A. and the Ministry of Transport, aims to connect Bragadiru to Voluntari through 27 stations. The study is funded by European funds via the 2021–2027 Transport Program.

In Brașov, the municipality has signed a contract with Neo Plan SRL to design a multi-story metal structure parking lot with an automated lift system in the Astra neighborhood. This project will occupy the site of a former, demolished thermal plant on Aleea Minerva.

In Oțelu Roșu, authorities have re-launched the tender for a 17.4 million lei promenade project along the Bistra River. The project, funded by the EU, includes a two-kilometer walkway, green spaces, and modernized playgrounds following a delay caused by a legal contestation.

In Piatra Neamț, Mayor Adrian Niță confirmed that municipal funding for the Ceahlăul football club remains budgeted, pending the club's submission of a project and a zero tax certificate from ANAF.
