M83 to release tenth studio album ‘I Wrote You A Letter’

M83, the electronic music project led by French musician Anthony Gonzalez, is set to release its tenth studio album, ‘I Wrote You A Letter’, in late September 2026. The release marks a milestone 25 years after the project's debut.

Recorded between Los Angeles and Paris alongside Benoit de Villeneuve, the album is described as a return to instinct, characterized by a more spontaneous and less calculated approach compared to previous works. The project features artwork by Australian photographer Bill Henson. The tracklist includes nine songs, such as ‘Blister Sunrise’, ‘Opera’, and ‘Traces of Love’, with a total runtime of approximately 40 minutes.

This new chapter follows the 2023 album ‘Fantasy’ and builds upon a career defined by cinematic electronic textures and hits like ‘Midnight City’.
