M9 Museo del ‘900 explores recent Italian history in Venice-Mestre

The M9 Museo del ‘900 in Venice-Mestre serves as a contemporary laboratory illustrating the history of the 20th century in Italy. Through eight thematic sections utilizing images, audio, and video installations, the museum presents a narrative of Italy's demographic, social, cultural, and political changes.

Designed by the German architecture firm Sauerbruch Hutton, the facility includes a media library, educational areas for schools, summer workshops for children, an auditorium, a library, and a restaurant. The museum aims to act as an open house for the territory to promote reflection on the present and future.
