Ma Kien La prosecuted for fatal stabbing in Dak Lak

Authorities have initiated criminal proceedings against Ma Kien La following a fatal stabbing in Dak Lak province. Investigations reveal that La and his partner, H. Th. B., had been living together for over a year and frequently experienced conflicts.

On September 3, after a disagreement, La traveled to the home of B.'s sister in Ea Drang commune to persuade her to return to their relationship. When she refused, La used a knife to kill B. During the incident, B.'s 10-year-old son was also injured after being attacked with the weapon, though he managed to escape into a room and lock the door. La has since surrendered to the police, and the investigation is ongoing.
