MAAG Group and Wittmann Group to showcase innovations at Fakuma 2026

At the Fakuma 2026 trade fair in Friedrichshafen, Germany, industry leaders MAAG Group and Wittmann Group will showcase technological advancements focused on efficiency and sustainability in polymer processing.

MAAG Group will present the extrex EC gear pump, designed specifically for the continuous conveying of rigid PVC. The pump features a gap-free design to prevent material stagnation and thermal degradation. This innovation can potentially reduce extruder energy consumption by up to 50% or increase material throughput. Additionally, the company will exhibit the PRIMO 60 E strand pelletizer, intended for flexible production and frequent product changes in masterbatch and specialty polymer manufacturing.

Wittmann Group will demonstrate a live production process for stackable planters made from post-consumer recycled polypropylene. Utilizing Cellmould physical foaming technology, the process introduces nitrogen into the melt to create a microcellular foam structure. This method reduces raw material usage and product weight while lowering the required injection pressure and energy consumption. The demonstration will feature a SmartPower injection molding machine and Schicktanz molds.
