MAAG Group to Acquire US Extrusion Specialist Cloeren Incorporated

MAAG Group has signed a definitive agreement to acquire Cloeren Incorporated, a U.S. company headquartered in Orange, Texas, that designs and manufactures custom wide‑slot extrusion dies and co‑extrusion feedblocks. Cloeren also operates facilities in Marshall, Texas; Eau Claire, Wisconsin; and Micheldorf, Austria. The acquisition, expected to close in the third quarter, expands MAAG’s portfolio in polymer, chemical and plastics processing by adding flat‑die and co‑extrusion technologies, allowing the group to cover a larger portion of the extrusion value chain and offer more integrated solutions. Financial terms were not disclosed. MAAG President Ueli Thuerig said Cloeren is a strong strategic fit that will enhance the company’s ability to support customers with critical process equipment, while Cloeren will continue its existing operations and gain access to MAAG’s global development, sales and service networks.
