Maahad Tahfiz Bestari Pulau Besar building destroyed by fire
A fire destroyed approximately 80 percent of a building at Maahad Tahfiz Bestari Pulau Besar in Melaka. The blaze, which occurred around 10:08 PM, involved a 30 by 40-foot structure housing the institution's office and storage area.
Firefighting teams from the Merlimau and Melaka Tengah stations had to transport personnel and equipment via a Kevlar boat from Jeti Anjung Batu to Pulau Besar to reach the site. The operation, led by ten personnel, utilized a Light Fire Rescue Tender (LFRT) and Emergency Medical Rescue Services (EMRS).
Firefighters managed to control the flames by 1:20 AM, and the operation was fully concluded by 2:25 AM. No casualties were reported, and the cause of the fire remains under investigation.
