Maçai café expands from Cologne to Hamburg
The Cologne-based café Maçai, specializing in matcha and açaí bowls, is expanding to Hamburg. Owner Parham Pooramin, who also operates the Café Buur group, announced that the new location in the Sternschanze district is expected to open in approximately three weeks.
The new establishment will be located at Schulterblatt 12. The menu features customizable açaí bowls, pitaya bowls, and matcha that is freshly ground on-site using leaves imported from Japan. Additionally, the café offers cold-brewed coffee served via a tap system. The Hamburg location is expected to provide around 20 seats, though many customers typically opt for takeout.
