Maaz Sadaqat sets CPL final record with century

Pakistani batter Maaz Sadaqat made history in the Caribbean Premier League (CPL) 2026 final by scoring a century. Representing the Jamaica Kingsmen, Sadaqat struck 114 runs off 58 balls, including 8 fours and 9 sixes, in a match against the Antigua and Barbuda Falcons.

Sadaqat became the first Pakistani player to score a century in a franchise T20 tournament final and the first player in CPL history to achieve a century in a final. This performance also set a record for the highest individual innings in a CPL final, surpassing previous marks held by Landal Simmons and Brandon King.

Despite Sadaqat’s contribution helping the Kingsmen reach 170 runs, the Antigua and Barbuda Falcons successfully chased the target with 20 balls remaining, losing only two wickets. Shadab Khan was named the tournament's best player for his all-round performance.
