MAB FAAP extends Joan Miró exhibition in São Paulo

The Museu de Arte Brasileira (MAB FAAP) in São Paulo has extended the exhibition ‘Miró: Mestre das Formas’. The showcase, located in Higienópolis, will now remain open to the public until December 13.

The exhibition features more than 100 works by the prominent 20th-century Catalan painter, including engravings, lithographs, sculptures, films, photographs, and tapestries. Many of these pieces are being presented in Brazil for the first time.

The collection highlights Miró’s artistic evolution, from his early influences in Fauvism to his deep engagement with Surrealism. His work often reflects his sociopolitical concerns and the impact of the Spanish Civil War through biomorphic, abstract forms inspired by nature.
