Mabco files arbitration claim against Albania over Vlora Airport

Mabco, a company owned by Behgjet Pacolli, has filed a claim in the London Court of Arbitration against the Albanian government. The company is seeking interim measures regarding the potential termination of its concession for the Vlora Airport.

Mabco alleges that the Albanian government is attempting to revoke the existing contract to award the airport concession to Israeli businessman Ron Yeffet, whom the company’s legal representatives claim has close ties to the government.

The company has retained the American law firm Patton Boggs to represent its interests. While the consortium, which includes VIA and 2A Group, has not yet filed a full arbitration claim for compensation, they are currently pursuing legal action in London to compel the government to separate the contract termination process.
