MABIMS hosts 50th Senior Officials Meeting in Jakarta

Indonesia is hosting the 50th Senior Officials Meeting (SOM) of MABIMS in Jakarta from November 1 to 4, 2026. The meeting includes delegations from Brunei Darussalam, Malaysia, and Singapore to discuss strengthening the concept of a civilized Islamic community, or khairu ummah, within Southeast Asia.

The event includes an open seminar held on November 2 in collaboration with UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta. This seminar serves as a platform for exchanging ideas and best practices among scholars and officials from the four member nations. Following the seminar, strategic sessions will be held on November 2 and 3 to address four key focus areas: youth potential, education and religion, socio-economic harmonization, and regional harmony.
