Valencian Community allocates 76 million euros to renewable hydrogen

The Valencian Council has approved a decree to grant 76 million euros in direct aid to drive a strategic energy investment plan in the Valencian Community. The initiative, promoted by bp Energia España SAU and its subsidiary Castellón Green Hydrogen Phase 2 SL, aims to develop two high-impact projects for the energy transition between 2026 and 2029.

Project 1, managed by Castellón Green Hydrogen Phase 2, S.L., involves a large renewable hydrogen demonstrator pilot using electrolysis technology. Project 2, allocated 9.7 million euros for bp Energia España, S.A.U., focuses on advanced pretreatment technologies for sustainable biofuels. The funding is sourced from the FEDER Valencian Community 2021-2027 program and will be managed by Ivace+i.

Separately, the Museum of Contemporary Art of Alicante (MACA) has extended its exhibition “Del color en el arte (Coloramas)” until January 10. The exhibition, held in collaboration with the Juan March Foundation, has attracted 18,991 visitors, with 62% being international tourists.
