Cultural and educational initiatives across Brazil and Portugal

Various cultural, educational, and social initiatives are being implemented across Brazil and Portugal. In Brazil, the Festival Regenera at PUC-Rio is hosting debates on the role of museums in addressing the climate crisis and promoting socio-environmental transformation. In the Distrito Federal, the Legislative Chamber (CLDF) held a forum to discuss public policies for dyslexia and other learning disorders, highlighting the need for better data and early screening.

Other regional activities include the Lona na Lua project in Macaé, which presents the play ‘Dom Quixote’ using recycled materials, and the Filmolab Film Olympics in São Gonçalo do Amarante, using cinema to stimulate critical thinking in students. In Porto Alegre, the RS Criativo Forum will gather specialists to discuss the creative economy and regional development.

In Portugal, Almada is hosting the first CineCarochas meeting to connect film industry professionals from the Margem Sul region. Additionally, the SEIVA 2026 environmental week is promoting sustainability through an exhibition at the Tavira Plaza in the Algarve.
