Macaé traffic changes scheduled for X Run sporting event

Traffic in Macaé will undergo temporary changes this Sunday, September 27, due to the third stage of the X Run sporting event. The competition, which features a 3 km walk, 6 km run, 21 km half marathon, and a kids' race, will use Shopping Plaza Macaé as its starting and finishing point.

To ensure participant safety, several roads will be fully blocked from 6:30 am to 9:00 am. Affected areas include Avenida Aluízio da Silva Gomes near the shopping center, the Linha Verde stretch between the Dubai and Aroeira junctions in both directions, and the intersection of Avenida Aluízio da Silva Gomes with Avenida Prefeito Aristeu Ferreira da Silva.

Local authorities have advised motorists to plan trips in advance and use alternative routes. The Horto bus line will be diverted via RJ-168. Access to Unimed and Rede D’Or hospitals will remain guaranteed, with traffic agents stationed along the route to manage vehicle flow and prioritize emergency services.
