Macao hosts 12th Global Tourism Economy Forum 2026

The 12th Global Tourism Economy Forum (GTEF) Macao 2026 has commenced at the MGM Theater at MGM COTAI. Operating under the theme ‘Crisis · Resilience · Evolution — Building a Tourism Economy for a Shared Future’, the forum serves as a platform to connect China with the global cultural and tourism sectors.

The event brings together government and business leaders, scholars, and representatives from international organizations to address challenges in the evolving global environment. Discussions focus on overcoming growth plateaus, enhancing industry resilience, and proposing solutions for high-quality development and sustainable transformation in global cultural tourism.

The forum is organized by the Secretariat for Economy and Finance of the Government of Macao Special Administrative Region in collaboration with UN Tourism. Other participating and supporting organizations include the World Travel & Tourism Council (WTTC), the Macao Government Tourism Office, and the China Chamber of Tourism.
