Macau International Trade and Investment Fair hosts Spanish-speaking pavilion
The 31st Macau International Trade and Investment Fair (MIF), alongside the 2026 Portuguese-Speaking Countries Products and Services Exhibition and the Macau Franchise Expo, has commenced at the Cotai Expo. The concurrent exhibitions feature over 1,000 exhibitors from more than 30 countries and regions, covering 30,000 square meters.
A new “Spanish-speaking countries industry pavilion” has been introduced, bringing together more than 350 units from over 20 Portuguese- and Spanish-speaking nations. This pavilion aims to facilitate the entry of specialty products—such as Spanish ham, wine, and Colombian coffee—into the Greater Bay Area and mainland China markets, while providing a channel for mainland goods to reach Spanish-speaking regions.
The events align with Macau’s “1+4” diversified industrial development strategy, focusing on sectors including big health, distinctive finance, high and new technology, and convention and exhibition commerce. Organizers have arranged over 90 activities, including themed matchmaking sessions and field inspections under the Hengqin “one exhibition, two places” arrangement.
