Macbeth productions scheduled in New Zealand and United Kingdom

Various theatrical productions of William Shakespeare’s Macbeth are scheduled or have recently taken place in New Zealand and the United Kingdom.

In New Zealand, senior drama students from Sancta Maria College attended a performance of Macbeth at the ASB Waterfront Theatre. Directed by Benjamin Kibly-Henson, the production utilized lighting and a dystopian set design to explore themes of greed and ambition. The trip served as a live performance analysis for students studying acting techniques such as movement, voice, and space.

In the United Kingdom, the Shakespeare North Playhouse has announced a September programme featuring a new production of Macbeth running from September 11 to October 3. Other scheduled events at the venue include a wine tasting evening, a play titled ‘The Story of Edith Smith’ regarding Britain’s first female police constable, and various community workshops and open days.
