MACC investigates Tabung Haji management following RCI report

The Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) is conducting investigations into the management and investment decisions of Tabung Haji following a Royal Commission of Inquiry (RCI) report. The probe aims to address potential leakages and abuse of power that may have impacted depositors.

MACC Chief Commissioner Datuk Seri Abd Halim Aman emphasized that the agency will operate “without fear or favour,” regardless of the status or influence of those involved. He stated that the MACC's priority is to maintain integrity and public trust by conducting fair and transparent investigations into high-profile individuals and management.

Former PKR Vice President Tian Chua commented on the matter, suggesting that legal actions regarding government-linked companies like Tabung Haji should be viewed as efforts to protect public funds rather than political strategies to gain votes. He advocated for reforms based on principles of good governance and administration.
