Maccabi Tel Aviv extends Iffe Lundberg, targets Armand Bequit

Maccabi Tel Aviv announced a three‑year contract extension for Danish guard Iffe Lundberg. The 31‑year‑old, who averaged 9.2 points, 2.4 assists and 2.2 rebounds in the previous season and posted 11 points and 3.6 assists per game in the EuroLeague, was a key contributor to the club’s recent championship and was named MVP of the finals.

At the same time, the Israeli club is reportedly evaluating former Fenerbahçe center Armand Bequit as a potential addition to its front line for the upcoming campaign. Management says the 2.13‑metre forward could provide the height, power and interior presence needed to compete strongly in both the Israeli league and the EuroLeague. The pursuit of Bequit follows a series of recent signings aimed at reinforcing the roster ahead of the new season.
