Maccarese hosts ‘La Terra del Drago’ medieval reenactment

The village of Maccarese and Castello San Giorgio will host the second edition of ‘La Terra del Drago’ on September 27. This medieval historical reenactment features a variety of activities including historical parades, falconry, and combat demonstrations.

The event program includes guided walks through the historic village, visits to the Castello San Giorgio, the Historical Archive, and the Coastal Ecomuseum. Educational activities such as medieval fencing demonstrations by Medieval Fencing ASD Terni and falconry shows by Falconieri Romani are scheduled throughout the day.

Additional entertainment includes flag-waving performances by the Sbandieratori di Castelmadama, music by L’Insieme Harmonico, and a fire show by Circus Karakasciò. The event is sponsored by the Municipality of Fiumicino and offers free admission, with some specific activities requiring prior reservation.
