Macedonia and Thrace receive 282 new industrial investments

Greek Development Minister Takis Theodorikakos announced that 282 new investments have been integrated into the Macedonia and Thrace regions through the Development Law. These projects have a total budget of approximately 1 billion euros, with the Ministry of Development providing 510 million euros in support.

The investments are expected to create over 5,000 new jobs, with 80% of the projects focused on the manufacturing and industrial sectors. Theodorikakos emphasized the importance of strengthening the country's industrial base to diversify the economy beyond tourism.

Additionally, the Minister noted that 14 industrial parks in Macedonia have been strengthened and that 15,000 industrial jobs have been created in Northern Greece over the past seven years.
