Macedonia basketball team targets win over Iceland after Cyprus victory

The Macedonian cadet basketball team opened the European Championship Division B with a convincing win over Cyprus. Selector Dejan Stojanovski praised the players' energy and the support from the crowd, while noting that the team lost too many balls and must improve ball control.

Stojanovski said the squad will analyse the upcoming opponent, Iceland, and prepare intensively to secure a second victory. He expressed optimism that a larger audience will attend the next match and that the team will adopt a fast, open‑shooting style to dominate the game.
